Here is a Sprout sizzle reel about its success from 2013, using Colbie Calliat's song "Brighter than the Sun." It also provides us with some very cool information.
- The Super Sproutlet Show and the Sprout Sharing Show were together in this promo.
- It said Sprout was owned by NBCUniversal, and even mentioned NBC Kids!
- It said Sprout's household audience was up by more than 50%
- It said Sprout was the top network for kids' mothers, and was the #1 kids network for cable subscribers.
- Sprout teamed up with Shout, Clorox, Lego Duplo, and Aquafresh to make commercials and idents.
- Odyssey sponsored one of Sprout's blocks at the time.
- Kindness Counts was still active.
- Sprout once showed "The Lorax." Speaking of that movie, I remember seeing it in theaters and owning it on DVD. In 2017, I couldn't stop watching it!
- The commercial opens and ends with a cardboard shoebox, just like Sprout's regular openings at the time.
