Madeline Fretz - Panwapa was a miniseries created by Sesame Workshop and starring the Muppets (not the ones from Sesame Street - although they were recycled from Sesame Muppets and played by Sesame Muppeteers). The characters included Azibo the Monster (Kevin Clash), Tungar the Tiger (voiced by Nigel Plaskitt), Athena the Owl, Koko the Penguin (Leslie Carrara-Rudolph), Baabra Sheep (Carmen Oshbar) and her two kids, and Bill the Bug (Joey Mazzarino).
The show aired on Sprout as part of Summer Fun Fridays in 2008, and it is unknown if the show aired again after that, although its page remained up on SproutOnline.com. The show aired during The Let's Go Show.
Sprout describes the series as:
"Meet new friends from the creators of Sesame Street in partnership with the Merrill Lynch Foundation. Join Azibo the Monster on his adventures exploring Panwapa Island, discovering new customs and meeting new friends."
