Caillou was on Sprout throughout its entire run, making it the channel's longest running show. The show quit Universal Kids and PBS on March 31, 2019 and 2021 respectively, but it has been announced that Cartoon Network is bringing the show to its Cartoonito block, which is set to begin this month.
Caillou's owner WildBrain today announced five new original CGI specials based on the show, which ended in 2010. They will debut on Canada's Family Jr. channel in Summer 2022. Like him or hate him, this is breaking news for Sprout fans young and old.
